Idaho

I find myself on the verge of a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. Packing my bag I realized...

"Where am I going to run?!?!?!?"

Egads, man! I don't know any good trails or routes in Idaho.

I looked for local running clubs online figuring they'd have some suggestions and found none.

Zip. Nada. Ziltch.

So, know any good running routes or trails?

13akbal and I did some Idaho surfing . . . we think you should run the Mesa Falls Marathon Aug. 25th in Ashton, Idaho - it's a beautiful course. Ah, but alas - Sun Valley without skis is a tough one. Here are two links we did find: http://www.janinebear.com/ (the hiking and biking sections had some promising comments) And following up on that, we found: http://www.idaholands.org/Blaine%20County/Wood%20River%20Trails.htm None of it seems really in Sun Valley, but the surrounding area. If you have a car and access to getnout . .

have you tried looking for trails posted by other runners at MapMyRun.com? just a thought. I don't really know Sun Valley is located but there might be some trails at nearby towns.

Dang. I have great running friends in Pocatello. If only it were closer.
But you know what, Sun Valley is BEAUTIFUL (in case you've not been there before) and if you can't just poke around town a little and find a place to run, I'd be shocked.
Have a good trip!

Sun Valley should be awesome, & easy to find trails. Can't believe you're comin' all this way and no stop in Jackson, Wyoming!!....darn shame ;)
Stop in any sports store on arrival & people will be eager to share trail tips w/you or turn you on to a good local trail book...
