New York City Marathon: Part 1

I am still gathering thoughts on my NYC Marathon experience. I will publish a full report soon. In the interim, I will say this - I finished.

I crossed the finish line in 3:31:26. For your amusement, here are a couple of photos of me along the course. The first is in Queens at Mile 14 the second photo is on 1st Avenue just past Mile 16.

More to come...

A 19 minute PR...that's some serious improvement. Be proud of yourself! I can't wait to hear the gory details.

Thank you so much, Josh, for your advice and support and company - especially yesterday in the extra cool green corral yesterday! My parents told me that you saw them on 1st Ave.! They got a kick out of you seeing them with their sign! Great marathon! See you in A.P. soon for more marathon stories! Congrats!

Great job, Josh! Love the photos. It looks like you definitely enjoyed the race, not to mention destroying your previous PR in the process.

Wow! A PR by almost 20 mins? We should all be so lucky! (OK, luck probably had nothing to do with it). Congrats!

Congrats on the PR, Josh! I was at mile 14 - filling up water cups, so I didn't get a chance to see much of the race. A bit at the beginning and a lot of the 6 hour plus runners.
