No time for doubt

The past two weeks have been a total bust for my running. I'm having some serious doubts about my ability to complete the marathon in a reasonable time. My commitment to training has been abominable.

But with only 5 weeks to go there's no time for doubt.

If your body is not likely to adjust to what a "reasonable time" is, maybe your mind could? I'm only saying this having gone down that road myself this year.
I mean, if you can find a way to enjoy it, and you're already registered, maybe it's worth a shot?

maybe you can use this as "fun run" and leverage this race to a marathon later in the year?

I just came off 2 really bad weeks followed by a really great week.. and I don't feel like I lost anything. Consider it a pre-taper. Odds are you'll feel better on race day than you think you will.

I'm in a similar boat with half marathon training, a little thing called work has cut into my training schedule - I'm trying to think that the extra rest will help me in the end, we'll see on May 3...
